Alaska Denali KidCare Children's Health Insurance Program
Denali KidCare is the name of children's health insurance program (CHIP) in the state of Alaska. Applicants must be residents of Alaska, below the age of 19 years old, and whose families meet the income guidelines. The income guidelines are based on the size of the family and 150% of the federal poverty level. Denali KidCare is available to all eligible members, regardless on geographical location within Alaska. Denali KidCare also covers pregnant women within slightly higher income guidelines. The unborn child is included when computing family size.
Members pay no premium or co-payments for covered services.
Enrollment is temporary and will expire at the end of 6 months. Members can renew coverage within 45 days of expiration by reapplying for a review of eligibility.
