Kentucky KCHIP
KCHIP is for uninsured Kentucky residents through the age of 18 and whose families meet the family income requirements. Applicants may wait up to a six months for coverage to begin if the have recently been insured.
KCHIP covers the following:
- Inpatient and Outpatient Hospital
- Emergency Care
- Doctor Visits
- Well Child Care
- Prescription Drugs
- Diagnostic Lab and X-rays
- Dental and Vision Care
- Ambulance
The KCHIP plan is an HMO. You must select a primary care physician in the plan's network.
The monthly premium ranges from $0 to $20 for each child.
The KCHIP membership renews annually with a new application, mailed to members prior to the enrollment date.
