Maryland Children's Health Insurance Program (MCHP)
MCHP is for uninsured Maryland children up to the age of 19. An applicant's family income must fall within the published income guidelines. Pregnant women of any age may also qualify. Coverage can begin within 30 days of applying for most applicants.
MCHP covers:
- Office Visits
- Well Child Care and Immunizations
- Prescription Drugs
- In-Patient Hospital
- Labs and X-ray
- Dental and Vision
- Ambulance
Premiums range from $0 to $55 per month depending on family income.
MCHP coverage lasts 12 months. Members may renew coverage if income has not increased beyond the guidelines.
