MinnesotaCare
MinnesotaCare is for uninsured Minnesota residents under 21 years old. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or a lawfully non-citizen, and must not have been insured within the last four months. Family income must fall within the MinnesotaCare family income requirements.
MinnesotaCare covers:
- Doctor Visits
- Preventive care
- Prescription Drugs
- Hospital Services
- Emergency Care
- Diagnostic Lab and X-Ray
- Eye exams
- Mental Health
- Chiropractic
Premiums range from $4 to $40 per month. There may some minimal co-payments. Deductibles and coinsurance sometimes apply.
MinnesotaCare membership lasts for 12 months at a time. A renewal application will re-qualify applicants for another 12 month term of coverage.
