North Dakota Healthy Steps Website

Healthy Steps is for uninsured North Dakota Children age 18 or younger. The families of eligible applicants will meet published income requirements and be a U.S. citizen or qualified legal resident. A waiting period may be required if the applicant had prior coverage.

Healthy Steps covers:

• Routine preventive care
• Dental and vision services
• Prenatal care
• Mental health
• Prescription drugs
• Hospital Care

Healthy Steps is administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. Members must use providers in the BCBS network.

There are no monthly premiums. There may be small co-payments for some services.

Members are covered for a 12 month period. Re-enrollment depends on re-qualifying,
