Oregon State Children's Health Insurance Program

SCHIP

SCHIP is for uninsured Oregon children under the age of 19. Applicants must also be American citizens or legal residents.  Families of eligible applicants must meet the income guidelines. If applicants had prior health insurance coverage, there may be a waiting period of up to 6 months.

Oregon SCHIP covers:

  • Doctor Visits
  • Well-Child Visits and Immunizations
  • Hospital
  • Emergency Room
  • Lab and Radiology
  • Prescription Drugs
  • Mental Health
  • Dental and Vision

Premiums range from $0 to $27 per month. Some covered services may require a $5 co-payment.

Coverage for 6 months, after which members must reapply.
