WVCHIP is for uninsured sates residents through the age of 18. Family income must be within the stated income guidelines and be U.S. citizens or qualified aliens. If applicants had prior group health insurance, there may be a waiting period of up to six months.

WVCHIP covers:

  • Doctor Office Visits
  • Hospitalization
  • Routine Check-ups and Immunizations
  • Lab Tests and X-rays
  • Emergency Room
  • Vision and Dental
  • Urgent Care

Premiums are minimal. There are no deductibles or coinsurance. Co-payments range from $5 to $15.

Coverage lasts one year. Enrollment can be renewed by completing a renewal form.
