Arkansas Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool (CHIP)

Coverage

  • A PPO plans with deductibles of $1,000, $5,000 or $10,000.
  • Plan pays 80% coinsurance for covered expenses in-network.

Eligibility

  • Arkansas resident
  • Must currently be uninsured
  • Must be in COBRA window - 18 months of continuous group coverage that expired within 63 days of risk pool enrollment
  • Must have exhausted COBRA coverage if available
  • Previous coverage was employer group, government, or church plan
  • Cannot currently be covered, or eligible for coverage under Medicare Part A or Part B or an Arkansas Medical Assistance Program
