My name is Phil Daigle. I founded Healthcare Shopper in 1998 to fill a need to provide a source of information for individuals and families who were shopping for health insurance. Most of these shoppers were buying medical insurance for the first time without the direction and support of their employers. They needed to be able to compare prices among several health insurance companies and to compare health plan benefits on an apples-to-apples basis. The internet provided the perfect way for individual health insurance shoppers to access the health plan and rate comparison tools that we developed. We know that today there are other web-based agencies that do what we do and we make every effort to show our customers that we appreciate it when they choose us.
